Oh my goodness it was a lovely holiday. La Serre is great! The view from the lounge window is superb and what an amazing room so peaceful! There is everything you need there and we were very comfortable.

My niece joined us and my friend from Provence drove down and stayed a couple of days too. We've visited several areas of France but it was our first time in your part of the world. It is stunning, isn’t it? The scenery is magnificent. We did so much while we were there – visited as many villages as possible, walked up by the church and just carried on and on! Walked down to the swimming bit by the river. We had a couple of really nice meals in the restaurant in Paziols and in Cucugnan (that was particularly lovely). Visited Lagrasse and several Chateaux – but as I said in your visitors book we simply did not have enough time! We’ll have to go back!

Well, we finally are getting around to providing some feedback about our stay at La Serre. Your directions were very good and we had no trouble finding the house. We were very pleased with the apartment and the serenity of the first few days, having the place all to ourselves. We enjoyed a glass of local wine every day in the little courtyard and the peaceful easy way of the little village; experiencing for the first time a anchovy salad and chevre cheese salad in the Reve d'Angele. It was wonderful to have our own stove to cook at least two meals a day.

Paziols turned out to be the ideal hub for our daily tours in the area. One day to Carcarson , one day in Narbonne, two days on the beach including Collioure, which was wonderful, and one day riding the little yellow train.

We definitely feel that we will go again and I have recommended your place to other people from Edmonton who are interested in coming to experience southern France.

What else can I add? The village is a very delightful, very friendly place (a "bonjour" from everyone, it seemed), with hidden stairways, tunnels and, as Eunice hinted, a wonderful restaurant. We genuinely loved the place. It was perfect for us... and we did enjoy the bottle of wine when we first walked in... a nice touch. We'll be back. I'm sure.
